ARS South Central District Rose Show
Please plan to attend the American Rose Society South Central District Fall Rose Show and Convention hosted by the Tulsa Rose Society and the Tulsa Garden Center. The Rose Show will be open to the public from *12:30pm to 4pm. (Note: Show Schedule will be available after September 1st 2024).
*Exact public opening time may differ depending on judging being finalized.
April 2024 Meeting
Rose BINGO is BACK!!! This is our annual fundraiser and most popular meeting by far! There will be 2 fun-filled sessions and bingo cards are $5 each. Bring cash or credit cards, local checks can be accepted as well, and this year you can save the line and pre-purchase your cards ahead of time.
The bare-root roses have all been donated by Star Roses and Plants, and below is the list of varieties available. Additionally, the Tulsa Perennial Club has generously donated additional plants for winners to choose from, so there is certainly something for everyone!

April 2023 Meeting
How to Show Great Roses! Everyone is getting ready for the annual Tulsa Rose Show on Saturday, May 13th. Come learn how to prep your roses, and enter one of the many classes available for this American Rose Society sanctioned show.
We will also have guest speaker, Paul Stratton, who will be presenting actual film footage of the Tulsa Rose Garden and Woodward Park from the Parks Department vintage collection.

February 2023 Meeting
Guest speaker is Andy Fusco, Director of Horticulture at the Tulsa Garden Center. He will have really good information about how we can prepare our gardens for the summer heat. Summer heat is unavoidable here in Oklahoma, so you do not want to miss this program!

Field Trip to Anne Pinc’s home to tour her gardens. Anne owns Collector’s Garden, specializing in perennials and pollinator-friendly plants. Please note the start time of 10am.

Jerry Jimenez, gardener at Main Street in Broken Arrow, will walk us down Broken Arrow’s Main Street and share his experiences working in the Broken Arrow Rose District. After the tour, members and friends are encouraged to visit the garden of member Sammy Stevens for a tour and light refreshments.
May 2022 Meeting
Mother’s Day in the Tulsa Rose Garden. Come see the Tulsa Rose Show, and then stroll in the Rose Garden where Tulsa Rose Society members will be handing out long-stemmed roses to all the mothers they meet.

November 2021 Meeting - All About Wildflowers
Join Tulsa Rose Society members at our monthly meeting where we will be treated to guest speaker, Andy Fusco, the Tulsa Garden Center director of horticulture, who will be speaking about incorporating wildflowers into your landscape.
September Field Trip - Johnson’s Rose Garden
Tulsa Rose Society members and potential members are invited to attend a pot luck brunch and tour of Don and Brenda Johnson’s gorgeous rose garden! Everyone is asked to bring a yummy breakfast dish, such as breakfast casserole, pastries, fruit, or juice. Don and Brenda are providing coffee. Please RSVP to Laura at LChalus@tulsagardencenter.org.
Ice Cream Social and Summer Celebration!
The Tulsa Rose Society will hold its annual Ice Cream Social and Summer Celebration on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, from 2 to 4 PM. Come join the fun! There will be roses to enjoy, door prizes, and make-your-own ice cream sundaes with lots of toppings to choose from. Admission is free. Just bring your favorite ice cream topping or finger food. This event will be held at the Linnaeus Teaching Garden Barn in Woodward Park.
June Meeting with Dr. Mark Windham
Join Tulsa Rose Society members at our monthly meeting where we will be treated to a webinar, including a Q&A session, on Rose Diseases and Pests, presented by one of the country’s foremost experts, Dr. Mark Windham.
Professor and Distinguished Chair at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, Dr. Windham’s research focus is diseases of ornamental plants. Currently the majority of his research is focused on Rose Rosette Disease, the most destructive ornamental disease in the U.S. However, Dr. Windham is also involved in research on plant health issues with hydrangea and flowering dogwood.
Rose Garden Volunteer Day
Come join us outdoors for a safe volunteer opportunity at the iconic Woodward Park! We will be working in the Tulsa Rose Garden, preparing planting beds and adding new rose varieties for a rose trial research project.
Bring your friends, some leather gloves, and any favorite planting tools and shovels you might have, and meet us in the Carriage House just across the parking lot from the Tulsa Garden Center Mansion.
Snacks and drinks will be provided, and we also have gloves and tools if you don't have your own.
We hope to see you there!!!
